Who we are
HeightBattle.com ("HeightBattle", "we", "us") is a free height comparison tool. You can reach us at any time through our contact page.
What we collect
You don't need an account to use HeightBattle. We collect only the following:
- Photos you upload into the tool. When you upload a photo, an anonymous copy is sent to our server together with basic details (file name, file size, image dimensions and the unit you are using).
- Images you export. When you export a PNG, a copy of the exported image is sent to our server with the chart details: the names and heights you entered, the unit, and the image size.
- Gallery picks. When you choose an item from the built-in gallery we record which item was picked and its height.
- Comparisons you share to the public gallery. If you choose Share to gallery, we store the image, the title, the name you enter (optional), and the names and heights shown in the comparison. These are published publicly at heightbattle.com/gallery/ and can be seen, liked, downloaded and shared by anyone.
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact or feedback form, we store what you type: your name, email address (if given), rating and message.
- A hashed visitor code. To stop spam and count likes fairly, we store a one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address in our own records, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
- Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically logs technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the site running.
Uploaded and exported images are stored under random file names and are not linked to your name or to an account. However, an image itself may show people's faces, and the names you type are saved with it. Please don't upload photos you're not comfortable sending to us.
Why we use it
- To run the tool and the public gallery.
- To understand which features and gallery items people use, so we can improve HeightBattle.
- To reply to your messages and fix reported problems.
- To prevent spam, abuse and illegal content.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use your photos to train AI models or for any purpose other than those listed here.
Cookies and advertising
The height comparison tool itself does not set cookies.
We may show ads provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

Who we share it with
We don't share your data with anyone except:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its files on our behalf.
- Google, if ads are shown, as described above.
- The public, but only for comparisons you choose to share to the gallery.
- Authorities, if we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep uploaded images, exports and messages only as long as they're useful for the purposes above, and we delete them periodically. Gallery shares stay public until you ask us to remove them or we remove them for breaking our Terms of Use.
Your choices and rights
- Remove a gallery share: send us its link through the contact page (choose "Remove my image"). You can also use the Report link under any gallery image.
- Access, correct or delete your data: contact us and tell us what you'd like. Because we don't have accounts, please include enough detail (such as the link, time or file) for us to find it.
- Don't want copies of your photos sent to us? Please don't upload personal photos. You can still use the built-in figures and gallery items.
Children
HeightBattle is not directed at children under 13. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before uploading photos or sharing anything to the public gallery. If you believe a child's photo was shared, contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
We use HTTPS, keep our data folders private on the server, and limit who can access them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you send us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
